The updated Statutory Guidance published by the DfE yesterday sets out their expectations of schools, colleges and training providers in England. It is primarily focused on the updated Gatsby Benchmarks and the government’s new policy on work experience but includes important changes related to the recognition of professionalism in career development.

If you are going to maximise your potential for lifetime employability, it is essential that you maintain high levels of professional competence by continually upgrading your skills and knowledge.

Higher Apprenticeships are structured learning programmes that combine workplace training with study. Employers can access funding to support employees to undertake the training and the mandatory qualification.
