From IT roles to finance, housekeeping to procurement, admin to catering and much more.

Thomas Pocklington Trust

Thomas Pocklington Trust (TPT) is a national charity supporting and empowering blind and partially sighted people of all ages to live the life they want to lead. We would like to support careers advisors to source the information, resources and advice you need to ensure blind and partially sighted people benefit fully from your service. Our aim is to help ensure the advice you go on to provide blind and partially sighted people is well informed, realistic and empowering, grounded in real life evidence, and effective in setting them on a career path that is right for them.

Delivering careers advice to blind and partially sighted service users

Careers advice can be pivotal in shaping aspirations and identifying a path to employment. But if you have not worked with many people who are blind or partially sighted before, you may be unsure how their experience might be affected, the opportunities and rights that support and protect individuals, and how different jobs can be adapted to enable that person to thrive in their future career.
