Diversity Resources

As part of the EDI Strategy, the CDI aims to deepen the conversation around diversity and how we address these topics in our professional practice. The links below have been curated to provide access to key resources to further the understanding and capabilities of careers professionals with regard to diversity.

Covid-19 Resources

With the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, the CDI began collating available resources that would benefit careers professionals during and after a rapid period of change.

Although the pandemic is now behind us, many of the practices put into place to change the workplace are still in effect, showing the importance of maintaining this collection of resources.

T-Levels Resources

T Levels offer students practical and knowledge-based learning at a school or college and on-the-job experience through an industry placement of at least 315 hours – approximately 45 days.

This new page will bring you information on T Levels including a series of quarterly briefings written for the CDI by the DfE.

Providing training and information on Supervision

Supervision sessions offer a neutral and safe space in which to explore and develop practice. They can provide information, clarity, guidance, challenge, insight and validation of career development practice.  As a powerful vehicle for deep learning and enhanced wellbeing it is a key part of professional practice and has long term benefits to the individual, their organisation (if appropriate) and the client.

In 2023 we will start delivery of Moodle training sessions for Supervisors and Supervisees.

Offering a Mentoring Scheme

Each year the CDI offers members four FREE hourly mentoring sessions with a CDI trained mentor. Application details are given in the relevant edition of News by Email a few months prior to the scheme being launched each year.
