Career Development Policy Group

The Career Development Policy Group brings together a range of organisations who believe that it is essential that citizens have an opportunity to access support in their careers. The group works with the Government and other stakeholders to develop policies and initiatives that support career development.

The CDPG has developed the Career Guidance Guarantee, our call for enhanced career guidance for all young people and adults.

Network for Innovation in Career Guidance and Counselling in Europe (NICE)

Network for Innovation in Career Guidance and Counselling in Europe

The Network for Innovation in Career Guidance and Counselling in Europe (NICE) brings together Higher Education institutions and individuals involved in the academic training of career practitioners. Funded by the European Commission's Lifelong Learning Programme from 2009-2015, NICE is now managed by the NICE Foundation.

The network includes over 250 individuals from more than 40 countries, representing more than 50 training programs for career practitioners across Europe. As one of the founding members, the CDI continues to work with the NICE network. 

International Career Development National Peak Body Network

The ICDNPBN network of national careers organisations started in May 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, to share experience of the impact of the crisis on their careers systems and discuss how best to respond. 

The ICDPBN is made up of the Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA), the Career Development Institute (CDI), The Canadian Career Development Foundation (CCDF), The South African Career Development Association (SACDA) and The Career Development Association of New Zealand (CDANZ). 

The group developed the International Think Tank Webinar Series, with episodes exploring the history and role of career development around the world.

NICEC

National Institute for Career Education and Counselling (NICEC)

As a learned society, NICEC does not act as a professional association or research institute. It is a UK-based organisation with many international connections. It works with, but is independent of, other organisations and is managed by its Fellows. NICEC encourages discussion and new ideas through running events, networking meeting, publishing resources and undertaking projects.

International Centre for Guidance Studies (iCeGS)

Based at the University of Derby, iCeGS is a research centre carrying out research and consultancy focused on the career development profession and widening access. iCeGS also offers training, including a range of accredited learning programmes to doctoral level, including the Qualification in Career Development. With researchers with academic and professional backgrounds, working with a network of associates and partners, iCeGS' ethos connects their research to policy and practice.

IAEVG

International Association for Educational and Vocational Guidance

The IAEVG is an international membership organisation offering global leadership and advocacy for guidance. It promotes best practice that is ethical and socially just, and champions the availability of high quality career, educational and vocational guidance for every person around the world. IAEVG is a non-profit-making association.

The IAEVG hosts an annual international conference and regular webinars as well as publishing the International Journal for Educational and Vocational Guidance.

The Institute of Career Certification International (ICCI)

The ICCI is an independent, competency-based, certifying body of career development practitioners, building a global network of career professionals. It provides leadership in certifying professional practice, advocating inclusive practice and embracing diversity of client focused services on career and talent development and life-design counselling & coaching. It recognises individual and corporate excellence in service delivery and practice.
