About Me

My own career journey started with a glass design degree before realising I was unemployable in that field, as I'd accidentally found myself on a fine art pathway. Luckily I fell into marketing and organising exhibitions before heading off to start my own interior design business. Then I discovered Myers Briggs personality test and the penny dropped - that as a creative person, I also like to help people. That's when I found the role of a Careers Advisor, which is ironic really as a school quiz at 16 told me to be a Careers Advisor and I told Mr Middleton "not a chance as it's the most boring job in the world" Sorry sir! Little did I know at that age how it tapped into my skills as a researcher, a writer, a creative problem solver and clear communicator and I could help people change their lives. The only downside is, I don't get to see what they're doing 5years later.
