Careers professionals, educators, policy voices and digital innovators came together for a fast-paced, one-day online Lightning Conference exploring how AI is reshaping careers work. This practical, discussion-led event featured short, high-impact inputs and focused deep-dive conversations, helping attendees build understanding, confidence and ideas to apply in their own settings.

The core theme was 'AI in careers', explored through a series of focused sub‑themes, including:

  • Ethical, safe and responsible use of AI
  • The evolving role of the careers professional in an AI-enabled landscape
  • Building digital confidence and practitioner capability
  • Practical use cases for guidance, education, employability and progression
  • Designing AI tools and services that support users effectively and inclusively
  • What “good” looks like for quality, transparency, equity and impact
