CDI National Conference 2021

Nat-conf-800x320 new spon

9-10 December 2021

The CDI National Conference was an excellent opportunity to hear from a wide range of fantastic practitioners and thought leaders on key areas related to career development. It is our most prestigious event, held every two years, and for CDI members, in 2021, it included the CDI AGM and installation of the new CDI President.

This day-and-a-half online event was a great way to end the year, with a range of insightful keynote talks, seminars and panel sessions, brought to you by the CDI working with colleagues from across the sector.

 Conference theme

Professional careers interventions can have a hugely positive impact on the individual, the economy and society, and at the conference we explored how career development supports the 17 United Nations' sustainability goals under the themes of:

  • Decent Work and Sustainable Economic Activity (labour market)
  • Education
  • Social Equity
  • Peace and Justice
  • Health and Well-being
  • Environment

Schedule

The main conference ran in three sessions across two days and each session focused on two of the United Nations' goals:

  • 9th December morning: Decent Work and Sustainable Economic Activity / Education
  • 9th December afternoon: Social Equity / Peace & Justice
  • 10th December morning: Health and Well-being / Environment
