Leveraging the power of Unifrog to support 1:1 personal guidance

The Unifrog careers platform is used in over half the schools and colleges across the UK. This digital byte will focus on how you can make the most of the platform as an adviser, to support your delivery of 1:1 personal guidance. This webinar will be suitable to any advisers who work in schools or colleges who have a Unifrog subscription, either as an internal employee or as an external adviser.

•    How to access information about students' career interests, post-school/college aspirations and previous careers interactions stored on their Unifrog profiles, to inform your personal guidance practice. 
•    Making the most of the careers and pathways information on the Unifrog platform to support personal guidance discussions. 
•    Recording and tracking personal guidance interviews on Unifrog. 

PRESENTERS 

Charley Fowler, Area Manager and Education Lead at Unifrog 

Working as a teacher and careers coordinator, via Teach First, sparked Charley's interest in how schools support students from different socio-economic backgrounds to achieve their aspirations. Since 2018 Charley has worked for Unifrog. Unifrog is a social enterprise that supports the majority of UK schools and colleges with their careers provision, work experience and PSHE programmes. Charley oversees partnerships with 300+ schools and colleges and is Unifrog's Education Lead. Recently, she completed an MA Sociology of Education at UCL, and wrote her dissertation on the impact of online careers platforms in schools in very low, and very high, deprivation contexts.


Annabel McDonald, Teaching Resources Creator &
Careers Guidance Specialist


Annabel's interest in careers began when she was working as a student advisor for an international education company. She completed an MA in Career Guidance and is a L7 RCDP member of the CDI. Her experience involves providing one-to-one guidance, careers education and specialist application support for UK and US universities at an independent girls' school in London. Since 2021, Annabel has worked at Unifrog in the Teaching Resources team and is the Careers Guidance Specialist at Unifrog. Annabel creates teaching resources, and leads on careers guidance projects such as the new Careers Year Plan, ensuring Unifrog create careers education resources that use the latest guidance, career theory and approaches.
