‘Augmented Knowledge Workers’ will have skills to use AI
Pearson’s new report outlines the idea of an ‘augmented knowledge worker’ for an AI future, requiring a new model of learning.
Their US-focused report looks at potential for AI-literate workers in the economy, with the potential to add up to 15% to the US economy’s size by 2034 and address the UK’s declining productivity.
The report focuses on the potential for knowledge workers to benefit from AI augmentation, using it to disseminate knowledge, gather data, collaborate, continuously learn, personalise coaching and work seamlessly as a human-AI team. Achieving this requires executive and worker capabilities and a new approach to learning.
The report outlines their DEEP approach to this learning – Diagnose, Embed, Evaluate and Prioritise.
