UK students to regain access to Erasmus+ scheme from 2027
The UK Government have agreed a deal with the EU to rejoin the Erasmus+ scheme from 2027, offering access for an expected 100,000 young people in the first year.
The deal is part of a wider package of agreements announced between the UK and European Union, and creates education and training opportunities not just for higher education students, but also for FE and adults learners as well as apprentices.
The UK contribution to the cost of the programme in 2027 will be around £570m, a 30% discount compared to the default terms under the Trade and Cooperation Agreement.
A UK National Agency will be established to administer the Erasmus+ scheme in the UK, working closely with institutions and young people.
