UCAS launches consultation on changes to university applications
UCAS has launched a consultation exercise on potential changes to the universities admissions system.
The consultation comes as UCAS recognises changes in student behaviour and gathers feedback from the university sector. Following an extensive engagement programme with over 500 schools, colleges and universities, as well as many students, the consultation focuses on a few key areas.
These include the number of initial choices a student can make, the firm and insurance choice, and applications deadlines. In addition, initial engagement highlighted the need for greater efficiencies and a desire for reform to Clearing. The consultation seeks comments on these areas as well as to identify any additional areas for future development.
Consultation closes on 22nd April and more information can be found on the UCAS admissions consultation page.
