Take part in UNISON’s survey of careers roles in England’s schools

UNISON has commissioned Ipsos to run a national survey to build a clear picture of what support staff really do in schools across England. Responses will directly inform our future work with the School Support Staff Negotiating Body on pay, conditions, training and career progression.

Careers roles that aren’t undertaken by a member of the teaching staff – whether careers leader, careers adviser, careers co-ordinator or other roles – are covered under the new negotiating body, and one of the key steps to ensure the framework properly reflects people’s responsibilities is understanding and benchmarking the roles as they actually are in schools.

The UNISON survey is open to all support staff working in schools and academies in England. This includes careers staff who are directly employed by a school/academy (not self-employed advisors) and who are not employed as teachers.

Please do take the UNISON survey now.
