Tactable to create 16 high-value tech jobs in Belfast
Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald has announced that Canadian technology consulting firm Tactable is establishing a new delivery hub in Belfast, creating 16 new jobs. Based in Toronto and founded in 2018, Tactable builds data and AI platforms for financial services and capital markets, and currently employs 95 people worldwide. The Belfast hub will be its first permanent presence outside Canada.
The new roles, to be filled over the next two years, include intermediate engineers, senior engineers and delivery managers. The Minister described the investment as strengthening Northern Ireland’s growing technology and financial services sector, noting that international companies continue to invest in the region because of its people, strong academic links and supportive business environment. The company’s leadership cited the depth of local engineering talent and the maturity of the technology ecosystem as central to the decision.
For the careers profession, the announcement is a useful, concrete signal of where high-value roles are being created locally. Data, cloud and AI engineering continue to be growth areas, and investments like this reinforce the value of digital and analytical skills for clients considering technology and financial services pathways.
CDI members supporting clients interested in tech careers may wish to highlight roles of this kind, and the academic and skills routes that lead into them, in guidance conversations. It is also a reminder of how closely inward investment; university links and the region’s skills pipeline now work together to shape the local opportunity landscape.
