Scottish Government invests in training to transition from oil and gas work
The Scottish Government has announced funding for the Oil and Gas Transition Training Fund, with £9m funding from Scotland and £9m from the UK Government.
The fund launched as a pilot in June and the new funding will enable more North Sea workers to access careers advice and funding for training to help them transition from oil and gas work into role in the sustainable energy sector.
The fund follows over £120m investment in the North East of Scotland to support the move towards net zero, to create jobs and develop the workforce of the future.
