Participation in careers education among Australian young people
A research article published in the Australian Journal of Career Development highlights the levels of access and participation in careers education activities among year 10 school students.
Using data from the 2022 GENERATION longitudinal study, the study included survey responses from over 15,000 young people aged 15 to 16, asking them about whether they had participated in careers education activities during the school year.
Using the data the researchers were able to examine not only the overall participation levels, but also how access and participation varied by student and school characteristics.
While the abstract reports that the researchers found important findings in these areas, the research itself is behind a paywall so to read the details you’ll need to pay for access.
