Designing vocational education in England for 2050

VET2050 is a project to co-design what excellence in vocational education and training could look like in 2050.

The project, funded by the Youth Futures Foundation and delivered by the Institute for Employment Research and SKOPE, University of Oxford, is planning a series of workshops that involve practitioners, policymakers, employers and learners to codesign the vision for vocational education and training in England by 2050.

They aim to look at the longterm challenges and opportunities facing those using the system, including the impact of AI and technological change, geographic and other inequalities, and imagine ‘ambitious, evidenceinformed futures for the sector’.

You can find out more information and join the mailing list by visiting the VET2050 website at Warwick Institute for Employment Research.
