WorkWell programme to support 250,000 people with ill-health
The Government is rolling out its WorkWell programme across England to help 250,000 people with health conditions to stay In or return to work.
The programme pilot successfully supported 25,000 people with tailored physical and mental health support as part of the Government’s Pathways to Work offer.
WorkWell connects people with local services such as physiotherapy, counselling and workplace adjustments, aiming to provide a joined-0up support system.
People do not need to be claiming benefits to benefit from WorkWell and will receive support from a Work and Health Coach to understand their barriers and draw up a plan to help them overcome them. WorkWell can be accessed via employer or GP referrals, Jobcentre Plus, local services or self-referral.
