Online resource to explore the food and support services sector
Compass Group UK and Ireland, a major employer in the sector, has created an interactive online resource to give young people insight into careers in the food and support services sector, and linking to work experience opportunities with the company.
Classroom to Careers is a free interactive online course that enables students to explore careers and pathways in the sector. Designed as a course, it takes around an hour to complete, with seven modules including videos and interactive activities. The modules cover the work of Compass Group, the range of career paths available, what employers are looking for in terms of skills, behaviour and experience, exploring the student’s own aspirations and sharing the stories of existing apprentices, with their advice.
After completing the course, students can apply for work experience opportunities at Compass Group.
The course is designed to be used individually by students or as part of careers lessons.
