M&S offers 1,000 training places in stores
M&S have launch new ‘Not just any career’ offers 1,000 training places for 18-24 year olds to build skills and confidence. This is a graduate-style six-month scheme that doesn’t require a degree to join.
The scheme will be available in M&S stores across the UK and Ireland, and aims to support plans to tackle the growing NEET crisis. The Milburn review has identified a lack of entry-level options as contributing to young people being less likely to have experience of the workplace, so M&S have designed the scheme to create opportunities for young people at the start of their careers.
It is specifically aimed at 18-24-year-olds, with school leavers, external candidates and existing M&S colleagues eligible to apply, gaining hand-son experience, leadership skills and pathways to retail careers.
