Employment Services reform in Australia - consultation
The Australian government sets out their vision for employment services reform, and outlines the consultation process for stakeholders.
The aim is to move from a ‘one-size-fits-all approach to one that is tailored to each person’s needs, ensuring it delivers ‘a more responsive service that connects people to the right support at the right time and improves pathways to meaningful employment.’
The government’s vision is underpinned by four core ideals;
The intention is to design it as three streams of support that match the needs of different people; for those closest to the labour market, for those who are moderately close but need additional support, and for those furthest from the labour market.
The website includes the ‘Shaping the future of employment services Discussion Paper’, with stakeholders invited to submit responses on the proposals by 31st July.
