Discover! Creative Careers e-learning modules on the creative industries
Discover! Creative Careers has launched a series of e-learning modules for careers advisers giving learners information about working in the creative industries.
There are two modules – ‘An introduction to careers in the creative industries’ and ‘Careers in the Creative Industries’ – with the first available in both English and Welsh, and the second with specific content for careers in Wales, Scotland and Yorkshire and the Humber.
The introduction e-learning modules each last around 45 minutes, while the careers modules are 60 minutes.
The introduction covers the sectors that make up the creative industries across the UK, the roles and opportunities available, what education and training is needed and the skills and personal attributes employers are looking for.
The careers module looks at the make-up of the creative industry in each geography, what the sectors do, the kinds of organisations and roles within them, where they can be found and the education and training needed for roles in the sectors.
