City & Guilds sells its awarding and skills training businesses
The City & Guilds of London Institute has agreed to sell its awarding organisation and skills training businesses to PeopleCert, a global player in the certification of professional and language skills.
The businesses moving to PeopleCert include the City & Guilds awarding organisation - which will continue trading under that name – City & Guilds Training, Gen2, Intertrain, ILM and Oxford Group.
The remainder of the group, rebranded as The City & Guilds Foundation, will focus on ‘addressing societal and skills needs of the 21st century’. It will continue to award CGLI Fellowships and operate the Princess Royal Awards.
