CEDEFOP publishes framework for lifelong guidance
CEDEFOP, an agency of the EU, has published an EU reference framework for lifelong guidance policies and systems development. It builds on the 2015 guidance, with updates and areas of further development.
The framework and policy guidelines for collaboration are designed to help those developing policies and systems for lifelong guidance.
There are 18 guidelines in total, nine transversal guidelines (such as career management skills, access to lifelong guidance, professionalism and funding), seven sectoral guidelines (for schools, vocational learning, higher education, etc.) and two social inclusion dimensions covering young people at risk and vulnerable groups.
The framework aims to improve the career learning experience for individuals, act as a reference guide for policymakers, support dialogue and enable nations to respond to common challenges.
