This resource from Youth Futures Foundation outlines the benefits and approaches for apprenticeships as a youth employment intervention.
‘Apprenticeships Unwrapped’ brings together the latest insights on apprenticeships, covering their impact for young people, the challenges of making them accessible to everyone and the benefits to employers of investing in apprenticeships.
It also sets out advice to address some key challenges, such as reaching young people who don’t access common recruitment channels, preparing young people for a successful apprenticeship, building well structured programmes, sustaining engagement, working in partnership and maintaining a focus on local workforce priorities.
