Career Matters is the professional magazine for members of the Career Development Institute
Free to members, the magazine reflects the wide-ranging membership of the CDI, with a variety of regular features including sector and regional news, LMI, professional practice, CPD and events, research, international articles, occupational information and resource and website reviews.
The magazine is distributed four times a year to our entire membership, a list of almost 4,750 individuals and organisations across the UK. Our members are the qualified experts in offering careers education, information, advice, guidance and coaching to individuals of all ages about learning opportunities, gaining skills and the labour market – they provide a link to millions of people making imminent career and training decisions.

Career Matters is edited by Dr Oliver Jenkin, who is supported by an Editorial Board. We are always keen to receive ideas for articles so if you would like to submit copy, or are keen to write reviews of resources and websites, please email editor@thecdi.net. Our Authors' guidelines provide information on word count, formatting, photographs and deadlines, and our Book Review guidance provides support for those looking to write review articles for future Career Matters publications.
Get Involved
Members - Every member who has supplied an address with their membership will automatically receive a copy of Career Matters in the post. If you think you should be on the mailing list but haven't yet received a copy, please get in touch - it may be that we need to update your address or mailing preferences.

Career Matters is produced on a limited print run, and we can't always guarantee physical copies of past editions of the magazine.
