Employment Advisors Talking Therapies Liverpool
The NHS Talking Therapies Liverpool Employment Support Team delivers a nationally aligned, fully integrated careers programme embedded within mental health services. Employment Advisors (EAs) work alongside therapists to provide combined psychological treatment and employment support at every stage of the care pathway. The service supports individuals to gain, remain or return to employment, addressing both unemployment and in work challenges such as sickness absence and presenteeism.
Pathways - Career Connect & Manchester City Council
Developed with direct input from young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), the Manchester Pathways Programme provides innovative, hyperlocal support to increase access to education, employment and training. Delivered with Manchester City Council, it helps 16–18-year-olds secure work placements, supported by work coaches, careers guidance, and English and Maths tuition. Since launch, 58 young people have taken part, with around 80% progressing into further opportunities, including apprenticeships. Former participants Makiyo and Marek now mentor new cohorts.
ScreenWorks - an Into Film programme
ScreenWorks, funded by the Department for Communities through Northern Ireland Screen and delivered by Into Film, is a careers development programme which connects young people with the screen industries through employer-led experiences. By breaking down barriers and opening up access, ScreenWorks builds confidence, widens participation, and creates a more inclusive future for the creative workforce.
