CPD theme: International Women's Day

Women's career challenges are often framed in terms of confidence, self-belief and imposter syndrome. While these can be important aspects of an individual's experience, focusing too heavily on them can overlook the organisational, societal and personal factors that shape women's career opportunities and choices.

Drawing on insights from The Holistic Career Coaching Handbook (Routledge, 2025), Frances Cushway and Kate Mansfield will explore how career practitioners can take a more holistic approach to supporting women. Using examples from different career and life stages, including parenthood, menopause and career progression, the webinar will introduce practical questions and approaches that help practitioners explore both individual experiences and the wider context of career decisions.

Intended audience

Careers advisers, career coaches and other career development professionals working with adult clients.

Learning outcomes
