This session explores what effective quality assurance of a career programme looks like and considers how to measure the impact on students of a careers programme. The Quality in Careers Standard is the single national quality award for careers education and guidance provision in secondary and special schools, colleges and Independent Training Providers and is 'strongly recommended' in the Department for Education’s Statutory Guidance (May 2025). The national criteria are used by Licensed Awarding Bodies to assess schools and colleges against the Standard. A specific development and support process used by one Awarding Body, Investors in Careers, will be explained during the session.
Erica Rowell RCDP is Director of Quality in Careers.
Sam Ansell is Director of Investor in Careers Ltd
