The creative industries make a substantial contribution to the UK economy with a projected growth in employment but career opportunities in these industries are wide-ranging and can be hard to navigate. Aimed at practitioners working with young people in schools and colleges, this webinar will explore some of the trends impacting work in creative roles, such as generative AI and sustainability, and which skills are in highest demand. It will also consider geographical variations in opportunities, different ways of working and will signpost to useful resources.

Career areas covered will include: screen industries (film/TV, gaming, animation, VR), fashion and creaTech.

Learning outcomes:
•    Understand how macro trends are shaping opportunities in these areas of work
•    Explore some of the current and future skills needs
•    Recognise geographical variations in opportunities

Target audience
This course is aimed at careers leaders and career development practitioners in England and Wales who work with young people, however most content will be relevant to a broader audience.
