This webinar will give an overview of the wide variety of opportunities in digital technologies and hi-tech engineering and manufacturing. Aimed at practitioners working with young people in schools and colleges, it will look at some of the global trends shaping work in these occupational areas, current and future skills needs, and pathways into these careers. It will also consider equity, diversity and inclusion within these sectors, and will signpost to some useful resources.

Target audience:
This course is aimed at careers leaders and career development practitioners in England and Wales who work with young people, however most content will be relevant to a broader audience. 

Speaker
Helen Janota is a careers and labour market information consultant with over 25 years’ experience in the careers sector. A Chartered Information Professional and Registered Career Development Professional, Helen provides a range of CPD training and consultancy services for the careers and education sector across the UK. She is treasurer of the Careers Writer’s Association and has written and developed a wide variety of CEIAG resources and guides on local labour markets including for the National Careers Service.
