Join nursing and careers experts from NHS England to hear more about the varied routes into the exciting profession of nursing and the work being done to address some of the misconceptions about what it means to be a nurse. We’ll also be joined by an early career nurse who will share their story.
There’ll be plenty of time for questions too so please come ready to ask.
Ed Cowley
Ed works at NHS England for the Chief Nursing Officer for England. The team have been developing some career resources to explain the depth and variety of modern nursing and why it should appeal to younger generations and their career aspirations.
Alison Lathwell
Alison is deputy director nursing and midwifery in NHS England. A registered nurse by background she is a coach, a Quality Improvement Fellow and committed to leading the development, education and training of staff.
Abi Changer
Abi is part of the NHS Health Careers team. She believes that quality information is a powerful tool and enjoys highlighting the huge range of roles available in the NHS as well as the various routes in. A nurse by background, Abi's NHS career has now reached three decades
