Theme: Career Development : Meeting the challenges of today and tomorrow

Sub Theme 1 - Defining a career-ready UK - linking lifelong learning, career management and essential work skills - and why it's important in today's world for individuals, the economy and society.

The world of work is increasingly dynamic, and the economy faces many opportunities and challenges that require flexible and developing skills. A career ready population has lifelong learning skills, career management skills and essential transferable work skills that enable them to continue to adapt throughout their career, ensuring the nation has the skills it needs. This needs to start in education, but be active throughout people's lifetime.

Sub Theme 2 - Developing career readiness - in education and as adults.

Practical examples and case studies, reasearch and more looking at aspects of achieving careeer readiness for young people and adults in different contexts.
