CPD theme: Health and wellbeing at work
Self-compassion is a practical, evidence-based approach that supports wellbeing, motivation and sustainable change. Many practitioners and clients experience self-criticism, fear of failure or shame, which can limit confidence and progress. Self-compassion offers an alternative to self-judgement, enabling a more constructive and emotionally safe response to challenge and uncertainty.
In this interactive webinar, participants will explore the core principles of self-compassion, grounded in psychological research and coaching practice. The session will clarify what self-compassion is (and is not), how it differs from self-esteem, and why it is particularly valuable when working with stress, setbacks and self-doubt. Participants will gain practical tools they can use personally and integrate into client conversations.
By the end of the session, participants will have a clear understanding of self-compassion, practical strategies to apply in their work and increased confidence in supporting resilience and emotional wellbeing. The webinar is suitable for careers advisers, employability coaches, people managers and professionals in client-facing or support roles.
