CPD topic: National Careers Week
You’re brilliant at helping clients tell their story, but how well do you tell your own? We live in a branded world, surrounded by logos, slogans and carefully crafted images. But what actually makes a brand, and what does your own brand say about you?
This friendly, practical introduction is for independent career advisers, consultants, coaches and practitioners who are curious about branding but not sure where to start. Journalist and brand adviser Naomi Snelling will explain how brands communicate through words, images, colour and tone of voice, using familiar examples. Short, hands-on practical exercises will then help you apply these ideas to your own practice.
By the end of the session, you will:
- Understand what a brand is and how brands communicate
- Have started to identify what makes you and your practice distinctive
- Have some simple, practical ideas to strengthen how you present yourself
Who it’s for
Freelance and independent careers consultants, coaches and advisers, and anyone in the sector who’d like to raise their professional profile.
No prior knowledge of branding is needed.
A recording of the session will be available afterwards, along with a list of suggested resources for further learning.
