About Me

I am a Level 7 qualified Careers Development Professional with more than 10 years’ experience advising students, parents and educators. I strongly believe that 'the next step is not the last step', and I support young people to make informed, confident and flexible decisions about their futures.

I provide 1:1 careers guidance for students and parents, alongside workshops and group sessions in schools. My work includes post-16 and post-18 progression, UK and global university applications, apprenticeships and assessment centres, gap year planning, and strategic pathway exploration for both UK and international students. I also work with younger students, including primary careers education events focused on broadening aspirations and future possibilities.

Alongside student guidance, I deliver INSET and strategic training for senior leaders, teaching staff and governors on post-18 progression and applications, supporting a whole-school approach to careers education and guidance.

As a qualified teacher of 20 years, including experience on SLT, I am well-versed in the educational landscape. My MA in Careers Development and Guidance focused on widening participation and increasing access to higher education.

I am a Fellow of the National Institute for Career Education and Counselling (NICEC), a member of the International Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC), and British Council qualified. I have spoken at national and international conferences including UCAS, IACAC and HMC.
