About Me

I began my journey in education as a languages teacher in 2012, qualifying through Teach First to teach French and Spanish, and became Head of Languages within 3 years, during which time I studied at University College London’s Institute of Education, to achieve my PGCE with QTS and MA in Leadership and Education.

Working in alternative provision and seeing how the right support, information and guidance can help students overcome barriers led me to start my Level 6 diploma in Careers Development and Guidance, which I achieved in 2023 from the University of Bath. This was inspired by working closely with Jess and The Careers People and I haven't looked back!

For The Careers People, I am a Careers Advisor, providing a safe and non judgemental space for personalised guidance as well as running the Apprenticeship Academy – a 6-week online programme supporting apprenticeship seekers – 3 times a year.I have also worked on resource design projects, creating lessons on PSHE and Career topics for learners from primary to KS5.

I offer these services trading as ROK Education which also provides one-to-one tutoring in a range of subjects.
