About Me

I am currently the Director of Careers at Stephen Longfellow Academy, bringing over 12 years of experience in careers education, information, advice and guidance across mainstream, alternative provision and specialist educational settings. As a Level 6 qualified Careers Adviser, I have extensive experience providing impartial careers guidance to students, while also advising senior leaders and governors on careers strategy, policy development and programme delivery. My expertise includes supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), as well as those facing barriers to progression beyond Key Stage 4 and post-16 education. In addition, I have worked extensively with young people who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET), helping them successfully re-engage with education, training and employment opportunities. Throughout my career as a Careers Leader, I have successfully managed and developed careers departments across a range of schools, leading the design and implementation of high-quality careers strategies and programmes. These have been recognised as examples of best practice during Ofsted inspections, demonstrating a strong commitment to delivering impactful careers education that supports positive student outcomes.
