About Me

I am a careers advisor for Ansbury Guidance, based in Dorset. I am currently working in various schools in the east and south Dorset areas. Primarily working with Year 10 and 11 pupils, I also carry out guidance work with pupils in Year 9, 12 and 13.

I have experience working with young people that have special educational needs as well as those living in the local community that are not in education, employment or training.

My passion lies with providing not only careers information, advice and guidance, but also practical support to ensure a smooth and successful transition from school and beyond.

I am fully committed to delivering an impartial service, which adheres to the CDI Code of Ethics.

I have delivered many group sessions with topics ranging from Career Management and Development to LMI, Apprenticeships, Post-16 and Post-18 options. 

Relatively new to the World of Careers Guidance, I began my career in 2015, where I worked in a school as a Careers & Events Coordinator. I enjoyed the careers side so much that I wanted a job that allowed me to work in a one to one setting with young people and also to express my creativity via groupwork. Alongside this, I achieved a Basic Counselling Skills qualification as well as a Level 4 Diploma in Advice & Guidance. I acquired some useful skills as a result from both of these qualifications, which I put into practice while carrying out one to one work.

I secured a position with Ansbury Guidance in 2018, completed my Level 6 Careers Guidance & Development and the rest, as they say, is history!
