About Me

An experienced practitioner who has worked in careers education and guidance with secondary school pupils for over 15 years, I have been Careers Leader for 7 years, overseeing the attainment of all 8 Gatsby benchmarks and a recent Good Ofsted rating.

As well as Careers Guidance qualifications, I am a Mental Health First Aider and have completed Stage 1 and 2 in Counselling.

Prior to working in education, I managed a busy high street copy shop, before running my own print, art and design business; then worked in advert creation for Johnson Press (newspapers), so I have a wealth of experience of the job and labour market.

I have two grown up children, one of whom went to university and has recently qualified as a Pharmacist, the other undertook a Joinery Apprenticeship and is now self employed refurbishing properties.
