About Me
I am passionate about making my candidate’s career coaching sessions constructive and meaningful and since 2017 I am focusing on midlife and later-life professionals. The wide variety of routes they can take and the changes they go through are inspiring and motivating for me as their career consultant. I have been delivering career coaching since 2003 for individuals and large organisations across the UK and Continental Europe. I have helped many professionals to make a smooth transition in roles, careers, countries or setting up businesses.
My clients benefit from my solution-based approach through which I motivate and inspire them towards their desired goal. My own career and personal life have been uprooted a few times by changing career, redundancy, starting new businesses and moving countries and cities. Therefore I do understand many of the challenges my candidates are facing. I support my candidates in gaining or strengthening key skills and confidence for the next step in their career by using the Core Quality Quadrant of Daniel D. Ofman as one of my coaching tools.
I built up extensive business experience working for large organisations in the telecommunications industry in different roles in research, consultancy and strategy for over eight years before retraining as a career coach and starting my own private coaching practice in the Netherlands in 2005. In addition, I have comprehensive knowledge in other industries, mentioned below, where I have worked as a career coach and/ or recruiter and built up an extensive network of contacts from mid-level to C’suit level. Through my Associate Career Consultant role at Imperial College Business School, I have a clear understanding of the future of work and the skills required.
Described by my candidates as open, energetic, sensitive and respectful; always supportive, but also willing to challenge. I am valued as an expert in the skill of networking; educating and connecting people within business, personal and social media environments since a great part of the career transition is about internal and external networking.
