Michelle Powell

About Me

Michelle has over 20 years’ experience of working with young people in community and educational settings.  An experienced and competent practitioner, Michelle has delivered careers education, advice, and guidance and, employability training to a range of clients in educational settings including independent schools, Pupil Referral Units, secure units and, special schools across the region.  Her experience also includes the project management of employability programmes in schools across Mansfield and Ashfield.

Michelle specialises in engaging with and supporting young people with additional support needs including, and not limited to those at risk of becoming NEET (not in education, employment or training), SEMH (social, emotional and mental health needs), special educational needs, looked after children and young people not able to access support services.  Michelle works with these groups around their career planning and decision-making skills to help them transition successfully to further education and employment.
