About Me

Personalised bespoke life/confidence coaching and careers guidance is my passion, but taking the holistic approach alongside it is equally important to me. I believe that both are necessary to support people in achieving their full potential. This is exactly what I do in my current role as Careers Adviser for the orgnaisation, CareerWave. I have almost twenty years of experience working within an educational setting from teaching pupils in Early Years’ and Primary school settings to advising Year 11s and working with those in Sixth Form supporting them with course/career journey. My post as a Personal Adviser in Connexions provided me with the skills to be an excellent listener and acting upon what the client needed to help them progress to the next level whether academically or on a personal level. My role as a Careers Adviser/Mentor with Aimhigher involved visits to various Universities including Durham, Cambridge, Oxford, York with groups of Year 9-12 pupils. I worked alongside University Ambassadors and Tutors, finding out in depth about undergraduate studies and lifestyle, hence my Higher Education knowledge is on point within this forever changing climate. All my educational roles are very customer focussed. I have always tailored my teaching or as currently my interviewing for each individual pupil, hence demonstrating my strength in focussing to encourage them to be the best they can be. Providing information and educating is very important, but providing advice and guidance are also important to help people, to empower them and to equip them with lifelong learning tools that will serve them well.
