About Me

I am an experienced Careers Adviser, having worked in schools, colleges and universities. I qualified as a careers adviser in the mid 90's. I am available on a freelance basis - either for ongoing provision or for one off sessions. As a Morrisby trained adviser and Morrisby license holder, I can also provide this service individually or to schools.

Having contributed a couple of chapters for 'Career journeys for young people', the first book produced by the Careers Writers Association, I can say I enjoy writing careers materials! I have written several articles for Career Matters (CDI quarterly magazine), content for several schools and universities websites, student moodle content and my website blogs. I have also undertaken work for Morrisby to help update some of their job profiles. I am also a member of the Career Matters editorial team. Happy to be talk through requirements you may have for content writing or development.  

I have been on the CDI Professional Standards Committee for 6 years (ending 2024) and am currently on the AGCAS Professional Standards Committee, so I keep up to date on current professional issues.

I am also a member of NICEC and the Careers Writers Association.
