About Me

I am a Careers Guidance Practitioner with extensive experience of working in the education sector in advisory, coaching and guidance roles. These experiences have given me the opportunity to refine my interpersonal skills and emotional literacy, developing a curiosity, respect, compassion and commitment to equity, diversity and social justice, and putting the needs of my clients at the centre of my work.  Helping my clients to overcome any barriers and to take ownership of their career journey is of utmost importance to me.

I am especially interested in careers coaching, development and preparing people for employment/facilitating change.  I enjoy working in a collaborative manner, utilising careers theory techniques to improve and adapt my client-facing interactions. In my current role at Norwich University of the Arts, I design and deliver careers-based learning and provide support through one-to-one sessions and group activities, both in-person and remotely. I have a wealth of expertise in working with and mentoring post-16 and adult learners from previous roles at a city-based comprehensive school and large FE college (Matrix Accredited), which has given me opportunities to work with a diverse range of people, including those with barriers to learning/employment; special educational needs, learning differences, mental health difficulties, and those that are not in education, employment, or training, to engage and support them with their choices.

I hold the OCR Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance & Development and fully adhere to the CDI Code of Ethics and CPD requirements.
