About Me

I am a qualified and CDI registered Careers Adviser currently working within Skills Development Scotland, providing careers information, advice and guidance to adults across a wide range of backgrounds and circumstances. My work focuses on helping people understand their strengths, explore realistic options, and take practical next steps towards employment, learning or progression. I take a person-centred and trauma‑informed approach, recognising that career decisions are often shaped by confidence, health, caring responsibilities, redundancy, or previous experiences of education and work. I work in a supportive and structured way, helping individuals to break down complex decisions into manageable steps and to build belief in their own abilities. I have significant experience supporting people who are neurodivergent, managing long-term health conditions, or experiencing barriers to employment. I adapt my communication to suit individual needs and aim to provide guidance that feels clear, accessible and encouraging rather than overwhelming. My practice is underpinned by the CDI Code of Ethics and a commitment to ongoing professional development. I work collaboratively, empowering individuals to make informed choices and to move towards work and learning that is sustainable, meaningful and aligned with their values.
