About Me

I am a qualified careers professional at Level 6 in Careers Guidance and Development with over 25 years' experience supporting students in secondary education, including maintained, private and special schools, both in the UK and overseas. I have also worked within further and higher education, supporting young people and adults into employment, education, and further personal development opportunities. My work with refugees and asylum seekers, unemployed, career changers and those with English as an additional language has helped me develop a client-centred practice. I am also qualified in psychometric testing (British Psychological Society Test User Occupational: Ability and Personality) and can deliver and provide feedback for the Morrisby Profile. As a former Connexions adviser, my approach to careers guidance is holistic. To support my clients overcome multiple barriers and develop their career, I use techniques drawn from Solutions Focus Therapy, life coaching, CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) and NLP (I am a qualified Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner). I abide by the CDI code of ethics.
