About Me

I am a qualified career coach with over twenty years’ experience of careers coaching, learning and organisational development and teaching. I am a registered professional member of the Career Development Institute and support and adhere to its Code of Ethics. Career experiences are personal. You may be experiencing redundancy, returning to the workplace after a career break or as an expat, seeking a career change or considering a portfolio career. I specialise in helping people in mid-career gain clarity about their career direction and available options so they can find work aligned with their life purpose, values and passions. The inclusion of a clear diagnosis and contracting stage ensures that I understand your needs fully so your coaching can be tailored to meet these. In my coaching, I draw from a range of tools and techniques that best suit each client, including applied neuroscience, psychometrics, solutions focus and NLP. Coaching does not give you the answers or offer advice but helps you increase your own self-awareness, uncovering a wider range of options and challenging any self-limiting beliefs you might have. I have had a range of employment types, patterns and experiences such as full and part-time work, flexible working, freelance work, running my own business, career change, redundancy, working overseas, re-establishing a career after returning from overseas and various portfolio options combining these also with study and raising a family. I currently combine career coaching with a part-time role teaching English as a foreign language to students in Bournemouth.
