About Me

With a post graduate diploma in Careers Guidance and approaching 20 years’ experience of working with young people in a wide variety of settings, my current role is as a Careers Adviser with Truro and Penwith College in beautiful Cornwall. I provide impartial, timely and supportive careers information, advice and guidance to students at the college on an individual basis or in groups. Ensuring I remain up to date and curious about the full range of progression opportunities available to our students and link to local and national labour market information is essential. I also aim to instil into students the importance (and excitement!) about researching their career journeys and how this can enhance their future prospects.

Truro & Penwith College has held the Investor in Careers Award since 1996 in recognition of the comprehensive service provided. In addition, we were awarded the Gold Standard for our outstanding Quality in Careers through the IiC in 2021.
