About Me

I have been a careers professional for around 20-years, the last 15-years at middle management to senior management level. From March 2025, I am looking to build my private practice on a freelance, consultancy basis. All of the careers programmes I have developed and run across the last 15-years have been designed to meet the government's careers strategy and legislation, alongside of the Gatsby Benchmarks. These programmes have never been rated anything below 'Good' by Ofsted. I am blessed to be working in a large secondary school in Milton Keynes, located within an area socio-economic need. As their Head of Careers and Careers Lead (middle-leadership level), I have support from the Principals to run a full careers programme which is rich in events and trips, including work experiences. All students receive personal guidance meetings at key points within Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. To achieve this I have a full contact book and support from our local business community, as well as regional and national organisations. I am retiring from permanent employment effective from 31st August 2025. Additionally, I work freelance for a secondary school in Winslow, delivering personal guidance to Year 11 students. From October 2025 I will have availability to offer freelance work to other schools and organisation looking to use the services of a highly experienced and creative careers professional.
