About Me

Working as a Careers and Employability Coach at Plymouth City Council in the Careers Plymouth team. The Careers Plymouth team provide CEIAG for young people aged 14-24 in Plymouth and the surrounding areas. Our team delivers personal guidance commercial services to students in education and training providers. We deliver additional targeted support for young people with an EHCP, others who are at risk of not progressing into Post 16 education or not moving into employment or training, and those aged 16-18 who are not in education, employment or training, including Pre 16 Elected Home Educated. To support young people in the best way, we also work closely with education and training providers, other relevant Council teams and external partners, and parents/carers. I am currently spear-heading a project to support young people who are Elected Home Educated, liaising with other teams and organisations to deliver a CEIAG programme to them. I have a Level 7 Post Graduate Diploma in Career Guidance and Development. I have worked in the sector for 30+ years, working in Careers Services and in school settings. I abide by the CDI Code of Ethics.
